Pure speculation, but knowing what a wise-ass Baldwin is, what are the chances he was fucking around, pretending to shoot, believing blanks were safe? Otherwise, who the fuck points any gun at anyone under those circumstances, joking around or not?

It's the kind of shit we did as children and during Daisy vs. Crossman BB gun wars in the woods as young teens wearing leather jackets and shop goggles.

Then I took my hunting course taught by NRA Korean War Vets and learned how to handle guns like a grownup. Obviously Baldwin didn't follow the same path.
 
For the safety of the set, I pray the first responders were vaccinated.

Normally a crimped case at most. Often paper card wad on top. Nothing that would be lethal. The muzzle blast could kill you if you stuck to your head like that young actor did as a joke. It worked! Muzzle contact needed or extremely close. Even in old Hollywood they didn't point guns at anyone when firing blanks. They normally point off to the side that wouldn't be noticed on camera. Same if firing at the camera. Interested to see how this happened.

This guy is a shit human being. Been one for a long time. I honestly don't give a crap what happens to him, he's going to have to live with his actions. And the next time he runs his gums, throw this in his face. He so deserves it.
 
Way back in the day some TV show actor was playing around with a prop gun, stuck it to his temple and killed himself. I hear it was a big HAHAHA moment.
