If you're going to go down the path of naming rights ... that's a great deal for the University.

I absolutely fucking hate the fact that we have a brand logo plastered on the basketball court and will probably have one on the football field as well. Yeah, it's a ton of fucking money but at what point is traditions and all the bullshit worth more than $4.1 mil a year? Do we really need that money? We have a multi-billion dollar endowment. Not sure why I care so much but I do.
 
Just wait until all sports jerseys are plastered with logos like the WNBA and Euro sports. Are uniforms are so ugly as is it wouldn't even bother me much.

I'd rather have $104.4 million than $100.3 million (AD revenue in 2014).

A lot of teams have been selling 3rd party naming rights to media companies. Securitizes that revenue.

Ucla just did a deal with IMG for $15M/yr. I'm sure UW will follow suit, if they haven't already.
