if there is one thing I learned over the years wasted watching this sport is that you never listen to the players about anything. Most of them are stupid - literally stupid - and even those few who are not aren’t coaches or program builders. Different jobs and curiously being a great player does nothing to prepare you for it. Their opinion is only relevant to the extent you apply the Costanza rule.
