Fair enough, we disagree. Technically, maybe, if the terms of service are clear and not arbitrary, I'd agree. In this case, I think you are aware of even left wing people being demonetized, kicked off youtube, etc and it isn't clear why. It's murky and it should be obvious what the politics are behind it. We still disagree and it's my opinion that the terms are not being fairly or objectively used. The pendulum can easily swing the other way too.

I believe a world where companies can’t have a tos is significantly worse than one where they can.

Now those companies are always going to try and make their tos as murky as possible so they can enforce them however they want. They don’t want a set of rules that makes things fair, they want a set of rules that they can enforce arbitrarily so they can make decisions based on profit.

Essentially I’m saying it’s never going to be fair but it’s better than the alternative.

I don't agree that this is just innocent private companies going on their own and trying to stamp out obscenities. Nearly 100% of the time, videos are pulled, accounts are suspended, and content is demonetized because someone is threatened by the narrative. It's either woke activists or elites pulling the strings. That's what the problem is. It's what China is doing. I do see that it somehow doesn't threaten you now because of your politics. I'm against this kind of double secret probation. It never ends well. I still can't understand why more people on the left aren't against this kind of system.
