or they want them to fire the coach so they can pick up the Indiana coach or DeboerUW is also fortunate to have an extra day of prep while Michigan has to fly back today from USC. Justice Haynes didn't play the 2nd half and one of their DTs left the game with an ankle injury. Both Indiana and Iowa 9am games last year got away from UW after halftime. This team is a full step up better than 2024. I think if they play a clean game they’ve got a great shot. Michigan is similar to Iowa. As someone said, can’t fall behind 10 or 20 to nothing. They’ll shorten the game and you’ll never catch them. I also like that for some reason Michigan doesn’t have a bye. What’s with that?
Michigan's best WR is a true frosh (Andrew Marsh, who Kevin Cummings tried to pry away from Michigan), their 2nd WR is kind of 6'5" JAGy type, and their TEs aren't as good as 2023. I only watched about a quarter of the game (in the 2nd half) but was surprised at how middling they looked at all positions other than Andrew Marsh. I am a Justice Haynes believer but he might still be injured.
Of course they were on the road and their fans know they'll need to rally against UW and be ridiculously loud to get the win or else their season will slip further away.
Michigan sucks. Oregon has won at the Big House multiple times in the last 20 years, including last year.Playing at the Big House will be hard and a struggle to win. I don't actually expect a win but I think it is a very winnable game.
These long road trips are pretty brutal for college players.
Even Ohio St. struggled early at UW with a bye week's preparation.
Nonetheless, this UW team has learned toughness with their schedule and they should be able to play very well.

I'm hearing Oregon is an Astroturf program. Fake. Fraud. If true, I'd be embarrassed if my program couldn't win at Michigan.
We won games we weren’t supposed to win last year, and it was still a shitty season.Maybe win a game you’re supposed to lose and quit losing games to teams you should beat.I think a lot of the negativity is a defense mechanism so people can feign happiness when/if Fisch leaves. The negativity is just unfounded in a lot of ways …
This team is where they are supposed to be at this point in the season.
Saying that UW's run defense isn't good is not supported by the data …
UW's run defense on the year is giving up 3.1 yards per carry … that's top 25 in the country going into the day
UW hasn't been gashed on the ground at any point through 6 games with Ohio State averaging 4.4 yards per carry against UW as the high water mark
Rutgers ran for 4.0 yards per carry on Friday but that was all driven by the 51 yard run on the 1st drive … take that out of the equation and UW gave up 56 yards on 26 carries … you'd take that every game
Nobody is claiming that this is an elite defense and there are obvious areas where the talent can be upgraded going forward. But what this defense is doing well outside of its run defense:
We're giving up on average just under 20 points per game …
If we continue to do that with what this offense is capable of doing then UW is going to have a chance to win every game remaining on their schedule
At this point, Fisch has only proven he’s an underachiever.
Assuming there isn’t a mass exodus after the season the portal additions should be pretty small so hopefully they can spend a little bigger for more immediate impact type guys. They need a bonafide edge rusher to go opposite Lane (expensive), one big gap stuffing DL (moderately expensive) and a CB2 (moderately expensive) to play opposite Robinson. Everywhere else seems pretty decent and with young/talented players or promising talent waiting in the wings. Maybe a BIG bodied WR if Justice Williams can’t fill that role and House might be back on the market. If he’s not burned too many bridges here he’d be a nice addition to the rotation at LB. 4-5 high end additions is preferable to 12-15 just to fill roster depth. I hope that’s the case in January. We look vulnerable on defense because we don’t have depth or much talent along the front 4. Need to recruit edge and IDL much better. The backend is great and has really made it hard for people to score.
I will say that Bryce Butler is starting to look like a game wrecker. Excited to see him take over next year!
