I hate to say it, but Richard Newton, Sean McGrew, and Cam Davis were collectively the worst starting RB in the Pac 12, and two of those three are currently in co-drivers' seat to start next year. Jones would be leveling up.

Maybe someone better can be had though. Hopefully...

James Cook is a SR and Zamir White is a RS JR so he should bounce to the NFL. Playing time is wide open there but I would take him in a heartbeat.

From Fresno gives us a shot. Nobody is paying money for a guy that had 250 yards on Georgia. This is the high reward move. I’m ashamed about the Austin Jones bullshit.

Davis would be good if he didn't have fumblitis

Davis is only good on crack toss and the like. I'm willing to make some excuses for the RBs and OL because of the scheme. I don't think people realize how unheard of and incompetent it is to try and line up and run down people's throat without any misdirection and barely any change-ups like we did last year. But Davis just doesn't have the contact balance, power, or patience to be a good runner up the middle. He could maybe run outside zone with some coaching, but he was literally only good on toss plays last year. Either way he needs room to be effective.

Hope Marks has better luck than BonerPopper finding at least one decent back out of that group. If we come out with a depth chart listing 4 names with OR in between at RB, i'll enjoy a nice bleach cocktail.

Could also be theres a lot of attrition coming from that position once things shake out in spring ball
