A Huge Red-Flag No One is Talking About

Right now, 1 guy from this state is committed to UW. At this point during past recruiting years:

2009: 7
2010: 7
2011: 3
2012: 4

The in-state recruits have voted.

I don't know much about recruiting but I always got the impression that the high school coaches had a pretty big impact on where players go. If that's true they've have fucking voted.

I know Doogs claim the fence doesn't matter but I think it does.

It tells me the kids and their coaches don't trust Sark at all. Quite frankly I don't blame them either.

Sark is a two faced pussy. He will turn on his players and runs a bull shit program that won't ever amount to shit.

It's a canary in a coal mine. The enthusiasm for the program slowed after Sark's first full year... and the people that know the most and pay the closest attention have no interest in being a part of it.

I think the more important number to look at is how many 3, 4 or 5 star in-state recruits have come to UW under Sark. The above numbers are thrown off a bit with some of the 2-star, late addition type commits.

In state recruiting doesn't matter after the annual three game losing streak. That's the new coach's problem and I have complete confidence that he will build the fence. I bark for the new coach.

There isn't going to be any new coach. Woodward will never fire Sark unless his own job security is in question.

It's all about ticket sales - Just ask the Mariners. Someone smarter than me said in another thread that the Huskies are the new Mariners. They are right.

Isn't that largely saying the same thing?

Sark isn't throwing rides out like recruiting letters. He doesn't have 25 to work with, and this state is Weeeaak with talent this year. Settle down and be patient. Next year is Sarks year

Absolutely - I'm not disagreeing with you at all. Just adding the second layer. And venting my frustration at the Huskies being equated with the Mariners.

All the more reason to fire Sark after this season that is already over. Tanking a small recruiting class is the ideal timing.

as I mentioned previously, Sark is going nowhere until Woody is gone.

The one glimmering hope I had was that Woody would join Emmert at the NCAA but Emmert has gone and fucked that up for us now.

What the fuck has gotten into you? Sark is a very average coach who has done pretty bad with in state recruiting. In state talent may be down this year, but he's not getting Budda Baker and if he goes 7-6, I doubt McGary comes. Why would he when he can win championships at Oregon?
