Life is unfortunately filled with a lot of malarkey.
Wait what? There's a MAHA board here? He used to write about that stuff quite a bit. This is a bummer to read. It did seem like the MAHA board was pretty quiet and that had me concerned. Seemed like a good guy and he'll be missed here. 47 is way too young.
So who's setting up the 1st annual HH poker tournament in PAWZ' honor? I might have to show up for that.Man … I really hate hearing this
And while people may be critical of sharing info like this after the fact, I sincerely do thank @DerekJohnson for sharing this type of information
I've known @pawz for close to 20 years …
When I still lived in Dallas and the online poker world was still a thing we'd talk a lot about poker and would sweat each other if somebody was making a deep run.
The last DM messages that I had with him here was tied to talking through the winning hand at the WSOP Main Event back in 2021 and some general political discourse around 2022 and the mid-term elections.
My favorite UW related moment with him was meeting up with him before the 2009 game vs USC as we were tailgating in the same general area. I told him before the game that I really did think that UW would win and listed off the reasons (and they weren't the Cinco Reasons) … he mulled them over and thought that they made some sense. Of course we all know what happened that day.
He was a smart dude and a good dude.
Fuck Cancer
I'd trade my likely losses for the laughs. The buy-in should also include a $20 or $50 donation to the Hutch in Pawz's name.So who's setting up the 1st annual HH poker tournament in PAWZ' honor? I might have to show up for that.Man … I really hate hearing this

That's a great way to describe himBaze gave me a heads up a few days ago. I was surprised, but not shccked as he had alluded to cancer treatment on here before. He definitely had some interesting views, but he seemed like a kind soul deep down. Very sorry to hear this.
You got it all wrong about face to face with half brains, Don Creep. When you have to say it to someone’s face, it creates a more polite society. Any faux, tuff guy, key board warrior can talk shit on anonymous internet message boards. @pawz had some very interesting views which frequently diverged from mine, but having hung out a number of times in real life we never got too chippy with each other on HCH.I'm very sorry to hear this. @pawz was, as Derek said, an OG and we've been trading barbs and observations for years.
A few things to say about pawz:
Rest in peace Pawz. I'm very sorry you had to go so young and in that way. You really were an OG, a gentlemen, and a real Husky. Also the owner of my favorite jif signature of all tim.
Fair winds and following seas my internet Husky friend.
Creep
IF referring to his health views, consider that his personal health being turned upside down at a young age probably put him in a place that few here will ever experience and I'm sure influenced what he chose to research and talk about. Even if you thought some of the MAHA stuff was off-base, you had to cut the guy slack because he was going through some real life shit and trying like hell to overcome the odds. You got it all wrong about face to face with half brains, Don Creep. I don't want to get off topic in pawz's thread but let me just say that I'm not a tuff guy key board warrior and my policy is my policy. No, I'm not referring to you specifically being an "internet tuff guy". You've almost always been nothing but a gentleman and a scholar type philosopher king, except that one time you tried to bully me when I first started on this site. More so this is a critique of the no meet ups policy.I don't want to get off topic in pawz's thread but let me just say that I'm not a tuff guy key board warrior and my policy is my policy. I have taken several walks on the beach since that time and have come to feel shame about my prior behavior.
I still have a little shit talk in me but I work hard every day to suppress that guy.
It is amusing to see the next gen come in hot and talk shit. Reminds me of my salad days. They, too, will walk the beach one day and see the folly in angry and hurtful exchanges over tedium.
The one exception to my new-found maturity is Roadie's retarded take on Sean Taylor. That I do not forgive. Though I am glad to see him back here.
