a bittersweet thought

no more conference games against UCLA at the Rose Bowl

Agree. As I was watching the game I asked myself why I'd never gone to a road game against UCLA. UW returning to the Rose Bowl might take awhile because even if we have a great season it could be that the Rose Bowl game is mixed up with the playoffs somehow, or we get selected to another NY6 game, etc.

We are allegedly going to join them in the Big Ten. Allegedly. Also requires having faith in Cohen to get the job done.

It makes the most sense so the Apple Cup stays strong.

Not bittersweet at all. There's absolutely nothing special about playing in front of 20,000 soft California fans at their crumbling stadium for a middling conference game.

10,000 of those 20,000 were probably your fans.

I've only ever seen games on Montlake but I'd rather see an away game at

Utah
Oregon
SC
Colorado (if they get back to a functional program)
Maybe Wazzu and beav

than a game with no fans at a UCLA game

The only one on your list worth the trip is Utah.

Now that I am in Texas, here is where I have a ticket already
Texas v OU
Oklahoma St v TCU
Cincinnati v SMU
KState v Baylor

Then maybe one late November game??? Bedlam?

Sooners might have 4-5 losses by that point

Yes however I don't believe you if you're saying that playing UCLA has zero meaning to you given the conference history.

Utah vs Washington 2025 Rose Bowel will be special.

False. Colorado gives you access to Denver where you can find bars that specialize in pickle shots. I’m not sure what Utah has other than the club burger with cheese.

False. Boulder >>> Denver.

Anyway, the topic isn’t town or city, it’s stadium/game atmosphere. By far the best fans, stadium, tailgating and atmosphere on the list is Utah.
