I talked to him in real life and he said he wasn't going to maintain speed after that Utah OL fucked his hip up.

Yeah, the hardest hitting safety UW has had in 30 years was soft.
He came in as a Freshman against Bama and hit Scarborough harder and more often than anyone else on the team.
He hit Gaskin so hard in a game last year that Gaskin fumbled, which has happened less than 5 times in his long ass college and NFL career.

EDIT: read the rest of the thread after responding. With hip injuries, there are tweaks players fight through all the time. Then there are deep bone bruises which legitimately makes you run half speed. I get the sense Rapp wouldn't sit out unless the consensus was that McKinney would be much better because Rapp was that hurt or that slow.
The fact McKinney was bad in the Rose Bowl is a big reason for the Rapp sitting out to protect his draft stock BS
