Attendance is down across the board in the last 15 years in both NFL and college. I believe the really schizo scheduling started about 2010.

UW should give tickets away for free until people actually want to go and see the team. That will take years of winning, including some big bowl games.
The stadium experience itself could use some improvement but I do think the biggest factor is still sustained success. Peterman had us back on the winning track for 3 years but then 2019, Covid, and Lake killed that momentum. Even then he never got the big win and the home slate lacked big OOC opponents. At least we have Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee etc. coming to town.
But to be honest, even if the team is good...games against 1-9 Colorado are going to be a snooze. I turned down free tickets from a relative. Even the siren sounded subdued and was turned off quicker than usual.

It wasn't the atmosphere we would all like to see but it was better. I think we would need a 5 year stretch of big wins and winning big and it would definitely improve. Hopefully DeBoer is the man for the job, and if he is the man for the job he gets paid and not poached by 10 million from aTm or something
Something that was surprising and encouraging for me to see was that the Rose Bowl turnout was great. We outnumbered Ohio State. If only Peterman gave as much of a shit. People still care.

Their WRs are so bad they'll even have trouble beating our guys vertically, if we tackle their screens and quick game we win rather easily. If we don't? gotta squeak one out hopefully
