A talented, 3-3 team with a mediocre head coach and a ton of talent was at a crossroads.

The season had been a disaster, and blood was in the water. The head coach was going to be fired, and soon.

But then, a change was made. This mediocre head coach said, you know what, I might suck, but this young QB on my roster doesn't. I'm going to start him.

That 2016 USC team went on to win every game the rest of the way, win the Rose Bowl, and run a train on top 5, soggy piece of shit WARSHINGTON

I've seen enough of Morris this year. I was convinced he was going to be the next Trace McSorely after last season where he seemed to will the team to big 2nd halfs and come up big in clutch moments. Iceinveins.gif

But he is not the guy. The stage seems too big for him.

Put Huard in. Go undefeated. Win the Rose Bowl against an insanely overrated and slow Iowa team. Earn yourself a 2022 season Jimmy. Hell, I'd even say keep Jon Don around.

To think our one great season in 20 years was the result of Clay Helton starting the wrong dude.

It’s what Oklahoma did yesterday. Bench the starter and get a spark. Imagine trying that once (and not having Haener lose the game for you).

This is pointless unless huard is calling his own plays. Darnold worked because the play never works and he scrambled around and made a play.

That said I think the chance of an 18 year old true freshmen calling a better game than the adults in charge making millions is more probable than the adults in charge figuring it out themselves.

Morris is a different player this year. That's on coaching. Donovan needs him to be something he's not, because he can't fit a scheme around his players.

the only thing that would happen if we? started Huard would be to ensure he would be ruined for the portal, thus having him as our? QB for 3 years. and saving Lake.

We? along with the Huard's are fucked

Morris wasn’t so amazing last year to make any judgment. We played nobody.

We still have largely not played anybody

Correct. He sucked last year. He sucks this year.

He played 4 Pac 12 teams and wasn't this bad. It's not just his performance, like has been said he has no balls. Throws it away when his 1st option is t there, other major issues that point to coaching.

Starting Huard now might be the only way to avoid losing him to the portal

Then let's do it.
