Anyone who was at HS last year felt how fired up they were to beat us, but that was probably an outlier because they felt they had a chance to make something of their season again.

SC had what they considered a down period during UW's best period ever. SC did just as good as UW during that period. This is false. UW posted higher winning percentages than USC in both the 80's and the 90's, not to mention Top 10 finishes, etc.

USC is in a class by itself out west. It's silly to suggest otherwise.

My point wasn't disagreement about USC being "down" for much of the 80's and 90's- i.e., our "best" era, but rather taking issue with your claim that USC was basically "just as good" as UW during that period. They were not. USC's winning percentage from 1980- 99 was .610 and UW's was .680, which is a pretty decent spread. UCLA was 2nd best to UW from 1980- 99 at .640.
