According to the non doogs you can't use the FACTS that Coleman was frequently injured AND that Mohammed didn't want to be here. That is what they do. Assume the worst without considering facts. And, they are DAMN good at ignoring FACTS. Why? Because ALL of the NEGADOOGS say so in unison.

At a minimum you NEED to ASSuME that one RB will be frequently injured AND another will not want to be here.
 
The offense isn’t that young. QB is a year older. WR last year was Boston and three true freshman. They’re older on aggregate but they don’t appear to have that top end guy. RB last year was a senior and a true sophomore. This year is a senior, RS sophomore and probably a true freshman. The offensive line is older next year and arguably more talented. DeGraff, love him or hate him is a year older and Eldridge has been in college for four years now. I’m not saying this collective group will be better than their predecessor but to build in a youth excuse if they fall short is not entirely true.

I misunderstood what PGOS was saying and now you're kind of going a little bonkers here. Fact is the RBs have a total of like 300 college yards last year. RB is definitely one of the easiest positions to play as a freshman though so I'm not without hope

I’m bullish on Naone. I think he may be the best blend of a real TE UW has had since Culp and Westy roamed the Husky Stadium turf. Both those guys were underrated blockers because they both had such clutch senior years catching the ball.
 
I would throw RS-Soph Justin Hylkema in the mix for 2nd string LT or RT.

I would also throw RS-Soph Annas Davis in the mix for the 2nd string 3-tech.

I also think RS-Frosh Ramonz Adams could be a back-up CB.

DeGraaf would have redshirted in normal times but after the 2023 season, Culp and Westover went to the NFL, Cuevas went to Alabama, and Ryan Otton still couldn't get healthy so he was pressed into action. I can see him becoming a passable blocker as a true JR but his calling card is obviously his pass catching (he had the yips for a few games and since he was not a good blocker, he was a negative for the offense then).

Eldridge should be fully healthy by fall ball andas @theknowledge mentioned, Naone may be the best blend since 2023. He has a high ceiling.

If Limar stays healthy he can give UW some tough yards, good blocking and he’s a reliable pass catcher. He screams Wayne Taulapapa to me. Washington will give the offense 7-10 touches a game as a real home run threat out of the backfield that the Huskies haven’t had in years. Finally, I’ll bet if he’s as advertised, Bonner will get the bulk of the carries by the time UW faces Indiana and Oregon. I know, If ifs and buts were candy and nuts … I know. Lots of hopium was just written but I’m optimistic.

I'd take Wayne T in a heartbeat. 3 warmup games for Bonner to get up to speed. Washington is pure gadget in my mind until I see otherwise

Washington was rated higher in TBS than Mohammed coming out of HS. If he can get up to 190 I think he can make a wow play or two a game without getting hurt. He’s so, so fast.

Yeah I definitely like having as a tool but he's just not a true RB in his current form. Also TBS matters until you've seen them play in college then you can literally just see what they're doing to evaluate how good they are

I'm interested in Naone. He's the highest-rated recruit of the TEs and could be the most balanced combo of pass catcher and blocker. I saw him in on a few plays in 2025 and he looked good in motion. He should push DeGraaf, at the very least.
 
Nice job on the summary, I appreciate the effort and insight.

Given the turmoil of the portal and the reliance on an excellent and deep incoming freshman, the two deeps seem elusive for skill players / not the usual formula for a team which would like to compete for serious consideration

The uncertainty of the DL, RB and WR, coupled with the limitations at QB to me describe a team which has a cap of 8-9 wins, which may be optimistic

I am giving the coaching staff some credit for recruiting freshman, the young talent is an abundance which is required to offset the absolute crap that debonair left when he skedadled to Bama

I remember Taulapapa having a gear I don't think Limar has. It's hard there's barely footage of Limar online other than high school where he's playing against guys like me and even then he doesn't look electric. Taulapapa scored a lot of touchdowns.

Jordan Washington's ceiling feels like a much smaller Dwayne Washington. Great speed but not much else?

I don't hate the running back by committee and having guys who can do different things. The days of a Chris Polk, Sankey or Gaskin who carries it 30 times a game are long over and I swear RBs sit out like 30% of the games now anyway.

I'd argue now that they're being payed we might see the resurgence of high workload RBs. If these guys make a few mill in their college career they're already relatively set for life regardless of a long NFL career
 
The new trend in some of the top teams in the NFL was / is to split carries to change up vs the defense [seattle / LA and significant others] which is somewhat of a departure from even 3 years ago… colleges will now do more of that if they have the players to do so? Seems likely.
 
I know road dawg, it just seems like its more in vogue now to do more like 50/50 or 60/40 ~ maybe its just me that thinks that…
