Two major issues with the US.

1. Inability to control tempo in midfield when holding a lead.
2. Poor decision-making on counter attacks, which left goals on the table. Need to recognize runs and play the pass early before defenders can react.

The first half was probably the best I’ve ever seen them play at a WC. Should have been up 2-3 at halftime.

Also, Ronaldo is a diving cunt snd Gareth Southgate is driving his Ferrari like a Ford.

Every time I watch a Nil Nil match I hop on Twitter to see soccer fag elitists trying to convince everyone how amazing that 0-0 tie was and “you just don’t understand soccer”.

That was actually an exciting nil nil. Either team could have won. I like our chances against Iran.

What if we? threaten the families of players who miss tackles?

I watched 10 minutes of highlights last night and determined that England is the hot team and the one to beat. Maybe Wales was just that bad, but their offense lokked really good

I know shit though. Haven't watched more than a few min of any one game. The opening round is soccer at it's most strategic and boring. Should get better now.

One of the youngsters in the office was excited by the win over Iran and even knew when the next game is because he claims to want to watch it

International sport needs enemies the same way domestic sport needs rivalaries

Most of you were too young for Cold War Olympics but there is a reason they were huge then and kind of meh now

And my Mexicans always get hosed by the Euros. Goes way back to Cortez

You get more drama and rivalries in club soccer. International soccer has some to a lesser degree, but it's better than any other sport (FIBA or Olympics)

Agree. Quarterfinal match-ups should be fun
