20 for 20 - LA Coon

System Of A Down - Toxicity, 2001[/b]

These guys were such a great band. The live show was amazing. They were very popular in their time, but I don’t think they get the credit they deserve at all. They have such a distinct sound that was original and really hasn’t been replicated since.

Phantogram - Fall In Love, 2014[/b]

Hung out with the guitar player, just looked it up, Josh Carter, in line, outside Key Arena before they opened for Muse. Okay, so maybe he was talking to the people in line in front of me, and giving them information on how they could get backstage after their set, but like, he was right there. Had no clue who he was. Was impressed by Phantogram's set though.

I totally agree with everything you mentioned! Unfortunately, I've never seen SoaD perform live. Damn, I bet that was amazing! It sounds like no new recorded music will be coming out anytime soon due creative differences between Tankian & Malakian.

Btw...they have to be Sarks favorite band, eh??

Jagwar Ma - The Throw, 2013[/b]

Good chit, never heard before.

One of my mountain biking buddies turned me on to them a few years ago. They have a nice late 80's Manchester sound. Accidentally caught them live playing the Twilight Concert Series down in SLC when my little Ute took her very 1st college tour. They played about a 9 minute version of 'The Throw' to closeout their set. Cool tims!

I like Phantogram. Embarrassingly, Chris Fetters put me on to them. He had a weekly post where he had a song of the week in 2012. He picked Phantogram “When I’m Small” and I ended up liking it and checking them out.

Oh my

Fetters chose "When I'm Small" as his song of the week.

Either the world's greatest self-troll, or the perfect illustration of his lack of self-awareness.

I'll choose the latter.

Ditto...I was actually thinking the same thing.
