1995 #23 Notre Dame @ #15 Washington No Huddle

What I remember from that game was people leaving early because of “Refuse to Lose” Mariner fever.

Oh man. Classic lambo. This was during my formative years and it is still a wonder to me why I liked uw. I wish I could have quit.

Talented team.

Gets lead.

Drops punt snap.

Forgets to cover the other teams best player on go ahead conversion.

Classic huard clutch performance throwing a pick 6 in field goal range for the win.

Still not over and fumble the potential game tying drive with half a min left.

In one year he gave us this gem, the Oregon game, and the usc tie from behind to ensure the sun bowl loss to Iowa. That’s seriously hard for anyone to accomplish. FTG.

I remember standing next to ND’s FB Marc Edwards right after the game. He was bigger than all of our LBs. They out physcialityied us

I recently watched the Nebraska games 90’and 91’. Hobert had brass balls. Such a competitor. Orlando McKay was good. People forget that. Hobert hit him for a long td but was called back on a penalty. UW ended up going for it on a gutsy 4th down and still ended up scoring. It was a crucial conversion.

There are 40 minute versions of each. Worth the revisit.

When I was sitting in Herb Mead's office in 2007, I jokingly referred to the 1995 Sun Bowl where we hiked the ball about 20 feet over the punter's head. Herb said, "That sailed right over the border into Juarez and continued south.... (leans forward)... It was last spotted sailing over Nicaragua!"

Oops. Thank you for the correction. Aging sucks.

I still remember those fugly Sun Bowl sweats the players wore around campus. They, along with the purple helmets, seemed to scream “Lambo!” (in a retard voice) as much as any relic from the Lambo Industrial Complex.
