My uncle played point guard for Sequim High School that lost in triple overtime to Ron Holmes and Timberline in the state semifinals. Years later I had a chance to get to know Ron and he said that in all his years of athletics, from UW to playing in the Super Bowl, that the triple overtime win in high school was the most fun and competitive game he ever played in.

Really. That must have been fairly recently. He sold my wife a car. I was with her at the local Ford dealership and they had a list on the wall of the salesmen. I saw his name and told Mrs. Alexis that that guy played on the Huskies. The receptionist heard me say that and called him out to make the sale. Joke was on her though, we didn't pay one penny more than a thousand over list price, and I had him throw in some plastic floor mat covers. Winning!!
