13 million a year for Lane

Sorta. It is apples and oranges in a sense.
The equivalent would've been Petersen taking one of his 11-1 Boise teams and getting the killers to transfer to UW to go on a tear

If Indiana loses they are probably number 5 and play Tulane or something. If he wins and is #1 and then loses after the bye then he pulled a Lanning. Could happen if Bama or Georgia are in that 8/9 game.

Fisch fans talking shit about Cig is peak retardation
Can we get back to talking about our playoff game?
Oh wait

My favorite part was how we? choked away any shot at the playoffs to Wisconsin of all teams.
Couldn't even manage to make it to the Oregon game before derailing.

The game has changed Gramps
If you all are hanging your hat on this recruiting class we're still young next year
And the year after
When asked why he had a 5 year plan for Tampa Bay John McKay answered that he had a 5 year contract
We need to buy an experienced O line at a minimum

Jess is already talking about starting the 5 star OL. We will be even younger next year than this year.

Could it be argued that Mills was out best OL? Not concerned about anyone's age only hoping the QB can throw the ball

If he’s the best let him play. Just no bitching about being young. That will be the 2026 excuse again.

The QB can throw the ball. Big overreaction by the board because a young QB played bad against a top 10 defense. When he’s tearing it up the next two years, it will be, “but he did suck when he was a sophomore.” He’s a good player already and he will get better.

If Demond transferred, a lot of big schools would line up to get him.

It would help to have a competent offensive play caller too.

Roadie he played bad in all 4 losses
Don't minimize it
Everyone enjoys him beating up cripples but he needs to step up bigly

He did. And we didn’t have the team to pull off wins when he played poorly. Penix didn’t always play great. That said, he did always perform against good teams and he was clutch.

I think he’s a good QB and he’s an asset. He should be much better.

Many a September Heisman have been made on the backs of FCS and G5 wins. I don't respect players that can flex on weak players and teams but shrivel when the going gets tough. Coleman as well.
Of the B10 QBs they played this year the only ones I think he clearly is better than were the Purdue and Wisconsin guys and he lost to 1 of them

I think you guys are over stating the amount of blame the QB gets and underrating how poorly the OL and Fisch protect him. All three of the good defenses he faced were in the backfield in less than a two count on more pass plays than not. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of quick, conservative passing in Fisch's offense, and the OL struggles at pass blocking. That's a rough combo.
I know the OL got better compared to 2024. That doesn't make it good though, and it isn't.

That’s insane. He was a top 5 QB in the Big 10 this year.
