If Utah loses to SC then their only quality win is gone and they fall back to 16+, so yeah this isn't a big deal.
 
It was set up so USC has a better signature win and the same with TCU. I think the committee wants Penn State in the Cotton Bowl. If Purdue actually beats Michigan it can really fuck everything up
 
Utahs win over colorado really convinced the committee to move them up 3 spots and leapfrog uw who won decisively vs a team With a winning record.

I know it doesn’t matter but these polls Are such political bs. How does a team playing colorado leapfrog anyone?
 
I was upset by this too, until I realized it is only to prop up the Conference Championship games. The committee is incentivized to make those games look as marquee as can be.

If USC takes care of business on Friday it will still be a top 10 UW in the Rose Bowl

Behind two 9-3 teams. It shouldn't matter but is horseshit anyways. Closing out 6-0 with road wins at two rival schools (ranked) and a home win over another top 20 team should've been enough to erase the ASU debacle. UW was a work in progress and is currently better than the team who lost two straight in the early season

A while back there were posters saying that UW gets fucked by the polls. I was going to disagree and list some instances I vaguely remember that supported my case. This wouldn't have supported my case very well.

There never was a chance really. The Utah thing wouldn’t have bothered me if they were ranked higher last week. It’s like the committee says we don’t know what the fuck we were doing and we just going to throw Utah way ahead now. Also the fixation with Kansas state and Penn state doesn’t make any sense. They reward Utah for a good win but never look at anything Kansas state has done.
