Thought I saw some reference to this somewhere on here, but I don't see that it has it's own thread -- and it deserves one.
Some Zimbabwean profiteers accepted a bribe from an American dentist to lure a protected lion out of a preserve where it was protected -- onto private land -- where the "glorious hunter" then shot it with an arrow. The wounded lion then suffered for 40 hours after which the "glorious hunter" killed it with a gun.
As a guy that has hunted (bow and rifle, deer and elk) -- I call this guy a big fucking pussy. No good hunger fails to get a kill shot like that -- and leaves the wounded animal to suffer for that long. This is all aside from the fact that he hunted a protected lion -- after bribing a couple of local profiteers to lure it out of a preserve.
Guy deserves all of he bad press he gets.
