Zachary Evans?

What happened here? Did UGA drop him or something? Said something strange during the AA game about making mistakes. Was suppose to commit during the game but never happened. I thought he’d already signed a LOI though.

Evans primed the reporter to find out more about what happened and of course already has the next question predetermined and was barely listening to what the kid said.

Edit: Never mind. They finally got to it.

After the whole Maurice Washington situation, I don’t blame teams for being hesitant on accepting commitments like this

Rumor is UGA dropped because he was two timing them. Also supposedly he can't spell his own name.

Apparently Evans was suspended for a game a week or so ago because his coach has a cell phone curfew before games and Evans made a big scene and refused to give up his cell phone. Coach sent him home.

that tells me he ends up in one of 2 places:

- Ohio State
- wherever Urban Meyer becomes coach

That's a big dick move by Gawgia. We dropped a fringe 4 star linebacker and the TBS army had to get mandatory counseling. But you don't see too many teams dropping a consensus 5 star skill player.

Is Georgia "vetting" Evans a little more to make sure he's really committed to the program? This is (almost) unheard of.

Georgia had a lot of player arrests and with Milton already in the fold, could afford to drop Evans or at least take their time in deciding if they really wanted him.
