Wife canned a bunch of veggies with Carolina reapers and made bloody Mary's at our last camp out. We served 150 of them. Literally.

I never really fucked with vodka, but Caucasians have a definite charm. And they aren't better with rum, whiskey or brandy in them surprisingly.
Vodka is fine. It tastes like nothing and that's the entire point. I like booze, so I don't really need what vodka does, but to each their own. All my life choices are not for everyone.

My summer drink of choice is essentially a Collins and served over the rocks:
1/2 Tito’s
Simple Syrup to taste
2 squeezed lemons (Meyer Lemons preferred)
Sparkling water to complete (usually use Pelligrino)
A pro move is to take a couple of skin peels off of the lemon prior to squeezing and place at the bottom of the glass ... over the course of the evening the simple syrup and peel essentially candy and lead to less sample syrup being needed
