People forget Sleepy Joe (TITTT) is a pussy only got the '67 convertible with a 327 CUI motor. The 427 Stingray is the GOAT.

I'm descended from 3 generations of Chevy Dealers. Grandpa Yella got a new Vette every year from the 50's through his passing in 1980. Then my dad had all shitty 80s Vettes which were cool at the time but haven't aged well. Such gutless 350 motors in that era.
To me 1963- 67 is the GOAT. But 62, 68, and 69 were also great years for Vettes until @PurpleBaze got his guys in there and fucked up American muscle.
 
Knew an old guy in Cheyenne, WY who was refurbishing I believe a 62 and a 67. I preferred the 62. Some of those early 63 models not a fan of. Saw one on I-5 the other day and until they widened the passenger area, it was an interesting look. I didn't care for it.
 
for myself it is the C3. Kind of like who is your favorite James Bond is the one you grew up with. The C3 was the one I came to know as a kid.
 
Obviously, anyone with taste is going to say 1963 Stingray with the split window. That is GOAT level car.
1967 is cool, but no split window. Collectors flock to the 1963 car as it was the only year with that rear window.
ATBS, actually driving the old cars of yesteryear is not very enjoyable. There's a reason that restomods became popular.
C1, C3, and C4 era Vettes are gutless turds. I hate the C8. The rear half of the car is a mess and it looks awful next to actual exotics.
C7 has the engine up front where it belongs and is an incredible performance car.

So here's my takes…
I get why 1963 is the most collectible because it's one of a kind. But to me 1967 is so much cooler because it's the peak muscle car war era. Think how much had changed in 4 years. No one was putting 427s in a 1963 Vette. Plus the 6 vent gill is so fucking bad ass.
1968- 70 C3s are fucking great too and still had plenty of muscle. It wasn't until the early 70s that that they became turds. C3 is such a weird era too in that a 1982 Vette looks dramatically different from a 1968.
Not all C-4s were gutless. I mean the ZR-1 debuting in 1990 could do 0-60 in 4.5 which was pretty dang good for that era.
I too hate the C-8s. That's not a Corvette. Corvette is supposed to be reasonably priced (for a high performance sports car) vehicle with the engine in front. C-8 feels like Chevrolet trying to be an exotic which they aren't.
 
I know nothing about cars. I said C4 only because it's the one that was out when I was a kid. I had the C4 model as a Hot Wheel and thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.

I'd take the C3 for the cool vibes.
 
i like the early ones for unique style [but no real power event though it was super light] and as a collector would love to own a late 50’s version… the stingray was an awesome car and everyone wanted the 63, still a real head turning machine.
