Probably should also have barrel aged options.

NEIPA's are all the rage bro. But seriously, I love stouts and porters and they're what got me in to the beer scene, but I would go IPA at this point. But not the melt-your-face-off 200 IBU stuff.

If anyone wants an example of a fresh IPA that kicks ass, Wander out of Bellingham released their Single Eyepa a couple weeks back. It's all citra hops, and it is awesome. If you're lucky you can still find cans at a local beer specialty shop. Also highly recommend a lot of the stuff that Fort George brewing puts out.

Where the fuck is my option for fruity IPA?

IPA most of the time, pale when I feel like it's hot and I need to go light. Porter or stout when I think I'm only going to want one.

Edit...removed the un-merican option of double bock.

We really need a "good one, but fuck off" flag in here.

I still think the 2nd best selling US craft beer of all time is the best. 39 IBUs is enough for me. I like IPA when I'm in the mood, but good old Pale Ale is still my go to.

North American [/b]beer.

I tend to think of Kokanee more as macro vs craft. I used to drink the shit out of it college.

The Throbber's daughter's (no pics, fuck off) boyfriend came to the compound for his initial visit. Of course Mrs. Throbber v2.0 asks what he drinks and is told to buy Bud Lite.

Fuck that. I made him drink Kokanee.

I was trying to keep in simple as the barrel aged stuff gets into more niche territory. I have really been enjoying some of the high test barrel aged stouts.

When I first met Mrs Piss's old man down in OR, I brought a bottle of Black Bush as tribute. I was pour and unemployed at the time so no Green Bush.

That would have been the proper approach. Either some Bushmills or hookers and blow. The Throbber could abide either way.

Why does every company need 13 IPA’s these days? And half of them taste the same

Did you know that a beer can be both a macro and a craft at the same time?

I think Sam Adams fits this description and possibly beers by New Belgium as well.

Macro and micro refer to how much beer is produced while craft refers to ingredients or some bullshit like that.

Thanks, Taft-Thanker

FWIW. I’d put Sierra Nevada over Sam Adams in that example.
