@creepycoug
I don't think anyone is offended.
You asked for the context I was originally referring to when making the fun jab at Crisco, so there ya' go 😉
Personally, I prefer coaches that are able to execute their job without that kind of verbal denigration of opponents. It's not actually motivating, nor effective, and you come off like a juvenile fuckhead if it gets out.
"I've always felt that being a Coug prepares you well for life. You learn not to expect too much." - Don James

lol!
Where did he say that, anyhow?
Publicly?

Also, the quote is more true than the one from Crisco at least.

Yes, I want to say it was around 1983.

I understand. It was just another way of saying, "yeah, that's par for the course". Especially in the context of a rivalry game.
I do, however, take exception to you describing Don James as a juvenile fuckhead.

Obviously I was referring to Crisco.
The "if it gets out" part refers to his chicken shit "doing it in the locker room"!

DJ had the stones to say it publicly. 😉

I'm pretty sure Mario's rant in the locker room was also about how the year before UW couldn't play against Oregon but then claimed the North Division champ shit. Which, knowing Jimmy, I wouldn't be shocked if UW could have fielded a team but Jimmy thought just staying home and claiming North champs was a fucking win.
I wish nothing but the worst for Crisco. Fun to see him fail at Miami even with a massive slush fun and a joke of a conference.

No, in fact, it wasn't that obvious. You prefer coaches who just do their jobs without that kind of verbal denigration of opponents, except when they do it publicly, which makes a whole lot of sense.
Or is this mostly just a rule for coaches you already don't like because they coached at Oregon?
Take the L. It seems, as a man of principle, that you just prefer coaches that aren't like Don James and Mario Cristobal, each of whom have verbally denigrated their opponents. You have a right to your opinion. Be a man and stand behind it before your hurt your back.

I lived inside a 15 year relationship with an Oregon alum (and former athlete).
This whole topic is personal for me with Crisco & Oregon — I'll leave it at that.
You're taking this all too seriously my friend.
Peace ✌️

^^ Any time anyone talks shit about DJ (ILTCHDJIWILTD), I take it very seriously.
You're new here (hardy har har), so I will let it pass this one time. You don't want to see me a second time.
