Why We May Be Watching the Demise of Michigan Football

I like how they were the number 10 team in the country.

5 days later they suck that’s the worst Michigan team in years

Michigan just doesn’t have the fans, the donors, the location, or the stadium to compete anymore. People don’t know what losing a game can do to a program, they just don’t.

2024 is dicey for them. They have a tough schedule the rest of the way, especially if Illinois and Indiana aren't overrated (which they might be). Tuttle looks like a slight upgrade over Orji and I think he had been hurt, but he's still far from a world beater and leaves them little margin for error on defense.
Not getting a better QB in the portal is confounding for them. They have someone like Rogers they're competing for another title with that defense and the run game. That's not a good sign for long-term program management. Neither is turning around and pumping up your crowd as a coach.

Arrogance.
You can't win games off of just vibes and flashing last year's ring.
