Why do people hate capitalism

New Fish
I see and hear all these people who are rallying against retailers who open on Thanksgiving, and say we shouldn't shop there.

Fuck you.

The market says ... if the store opens and enough people show up ... then it is the absolute right thing to do.

If some dumb mother fucker wants to go fight the crowd for a $5 toaster, that's his right as an American.

I took the family to a local place to have some pie last night ... because wine can only dull so much of the pain of having to be locked in a house all day with a 6 and 4 year old. Praise be to Allah that owner gets it.

I've never heard that argument, getting up at 3am or whatever is just tacky.

It must not be real ...

Stores should not be open on Thanksgiving Day because it doesn't make sense on moral or economic grounds, said John Eyler, former chairman and CEO of Toys R Us.

CNBC used as my source ... because I am an open minded liberal.

Not one to judge morality, but I saw a metric shit ton of losers shopping Thanksgiving evening as I was driving back up the Valley.

Bars and movie theaters have been open for years.

If it wasn't for Willie's Sports Bar being open none of the visiting Wenatchee High School Alum would have scored on Thanksgiving (Hi @Doogles‌ )

The above quoted fucker never had a problem ruining his employees Thanksgivings by having them show up at 3 in the morning to prep for Black Friday. Or how people have to work 7 days a week leading up to Christmas.

He can take his moral and economic self righteous bullshit and stick it up his ass.

It shouldn't be illegal but it's really tacky and distasteful. I realize most of the employees and customers don't really give a fuck, but still. Stores should be closed on major holidays...that's just the way it was and should be. If you need to rely on "Black" Friday and T'giving night to be successful, your business model sucks anyway.

Plenty of bars are open on Thanksgiving evening.

Tons of people need to drink after putting up with extended family all god damn day.

Why do you hate free markets?

Black Friday peaked in 2009, looks like the market is speaking.

And I'm all for bars being open, but that's a different story.

2009 ...

I wonder if there was any economic drivers in that particular year and since.
