I still own a house on Oahu (Hawaii Kai)... its fucking great compared to Seattle or Portland.

Why not take a trip to the islands and see your new Peterman in action for the first time? Better excuse than most have for going - and August usually has nice surf on the south shore.

Any other island>>Oahu if they had played this game in December when its special I'd be camped out on Kauai and fly over for the game to minimize my time on Oahu.

On the bright side the weathers great and its not Mexico.

Exactly. Kailua beach is as nice as anything on Maui, and its only 20 minutes from the big city, or 1 block from your place if you stay in Kailua.

I've been to Maui 4 times, and it does have some nice beaches and awesome resorts and a nice volcano to hike in, but it has tourists everywhere.

When people from the mainland move to Hawaii -- most go to Oahu. It just has more to offer.

Kauai is okay... but the beaches there don't compare to Oahu or Maui.

I'll say it again...and I have been all over Oahu many times. While there are some nice spots, it, and it's people generally blow. Honolulu is a god damn dump. Aloha stadium is a fucking mess.

Labor Day weekend in the NW >>>>>>>> Labor Day Weekend in Oahu.

Disagree - Stay in the Northwest over Labor Day AND go to a tropical vacation when the weather here is horrible. Abundance. Some of us don't really need to worry about a "price drop" or stay at resorts. Toilet sales are that good.
