Never forget, pals, what the 2nd most important sport at UW is!! This is very clear to all when you enter where the names are carved into the Hall of Fame in Hec Ed, adjacent to the McDonanld's "We Didn't Win It On The Field" USA Today / Coaches National Championship Trophy.

Yah, its amazing that at a major university, Football is number 2 to the overarching power and prestige of the UW Dawg Rowing Team ~ throughout the ages, the schools only consistent championship caliber team.

Taking the kid(s) to the UW Hall of Fame Museum is one of my favorite pre-game rituals.
I'm a museum noyd at heart and I think this was well done by UW. So much great memorabilia.
My favorite item is the Whammy in Maimuh Tombstone. Always makes me think of @creepycoug

It's weird how UW markets the Hall of Fame Museum on game days. Some times you'll walk into Hec Ed and there's plenty of regular fans milling around and checking things out. Last Sat I start to walk in a security says "Can I help you?". I said we'd like to go visit the museum and they said "Oh, yes, that's fine".
 
I've mentioned on the board that my offspring (singular) is covering Penn State football and has press credentials. Obviously she's heard me mouth off about the greatness of UW rowing and football extensively as well as all the ways we're better than PSU. Imagine never making the 4 team playoff!
She's getting game stories ready for PSU-UW this year so reached out to the UW football sports information director to try to get a couple of interviews, and saw the two sports he has responsibility for are football and rowing. She said "holy crap you DO care about rowing more than anything else, I have never seen a football SID have rowing as their second responsible sport, all football SIDs are the primary SID, that is nuts."

Gets more visitors in hoops season obviously. My picture was once in the HoF, which means I was randomly in the crowd shot behind the actual moment.
 
I’m more of a Pepsi than a Coke fan, but good taste either way. We can all agree that only drug dealers wear root beer though.
