He sucked before he got hurt. I think he had a good 6 game run of playing well and after that showed why he was a walk-on.

He averaged 10 tackles a game the last 2 years whereas our starting LBs are averaging 5. Alex Cook shouldn't be our leading tackler but he is.
He had more turnovers than our top 6 LBs through 7 games this year.
He's also a better pass defender than any LB on our roster
I assumed he was playing hurt early last year and that's why he wasn't good. At least I hope so because he looked like a different player in 2021.
Would be glad to get him back but wonder how big of an impact he will make coming back at this point. The recent track record of long injured Husky players returning and not having a significant drop off isn't good.

He has 5 passes defended in the last 10 games. Only one we've had this year from a LB was when the Stanford RB tipped the ball to Cam Bright
Maybe he was hurt last year before taking the rest of the season off, but I recall seeing him miss plays and look nothing like the COVID season guy.
