When is it cool to rush/storm the field/court after a victory?

What are your unwritten rules of doing this?
Absolutely storm the field/court when you are unranked and defeat the #1 team in the county.
Think 1982 Virginia vs. Chaminade men's basketball game.

I believe if you were favored and ranked and defeat a higher ranked opponent, don't rush.
If there is a 20+ difference in ranking, then possibly rush/storm

If you end a long losing streak against another team, then consider rushing/storming

I wasn't up there yet in 89 but watched the AC. Several of my friends were proud of jumping in and getting pepper sprayed. I told them it was beneath UW to rush the field over besting cuog and they should be ashamed. I was only 18 and already knew that.

I was hanging out once upon a time with Dennis Brown at the Lakemont Starbucks and he talked about leaving the locker room and standing at the opening of the tunnel watching all the "idiots" fighting with cops on the turf where four years of his "blood, sweat and toil" had taken place. He felt offended.

I went to the 2009 Idaho game with the aforementioned Lucy. When UW won, the students rushed the field. She was like, "Oh wow!" I was like, "This is UW, we don't normally do this -- let alone for beating Idaho." Now it must be mentioned that UW had broken a 15-game losing streak, so there was a counterargument to be had. But still...

I was part of a involuntary field rushing at the 82 AC. After the missed (?) Chuck Nelson FG, which went right over my head (prolly could have caught it, but didn't want to drop my beer), a mass of humanity pushed us down to the field. Milling around in the chaos, I bumped into a childhood friend who was a Cuog WR. As we were chatting his eyes got really big, and he grabbed my arm and shouted "RUN!"...we got through the tunnel, and he told me that I missed getting whacked in the head by a goal post by about a foot...CSB

I’ve stormed field twice in my life

Both times at Martin Stadium

1st one was the year the Coug RB quit at halftime….was that Tui RB year? Anyways….still remember Pat Reddick yelling at UW fans on the goalpost “TEAR THAT MOTHERFUCKER DOWN!!”

next one was Kai Ellis interception and recovered fumble. SWAT came in arm and arm and I had to leave at opposite end of where I started

Good times

I just can't imagine caring anymore. As long as Nick Saban doesn't get hurt.

Wait, UW fans rushed the field at Husky Stadium after beating Idaho?

We(just a small group of people) just got cool shirts

2009 versus 3rd ranked Condoms when we were had one win since 2007: okay

Beating Stanfraud or Oregon State at home: absolutely unacceptable

Beating Oregon: I'll allow it once

I’ve rushed twice. Once was the 2002 apple cup in Pullman when we? ruined their lives. Almost got hit by numerous glass bottles. The other time was 70-21 in Autzen. Enough said on that.

Did we rush the field at Autzen in 2016? I thought I was special.
