It's fine to hate Fisch until you don't; and we know the most coaches suck or are mediocre.
But we've got to play the odds here and Fisch's prior HC resume was evidence of some level of competence. The even keeled amongst us knew that 2024 was going to be a struggle.
Also, what do we do if Sark wins a Natty this year?

I was the only one in our poll to predict 5-7. But regardless of who foresaw a struggle, none of this excuses the shit-for-brains call and then scapegoating. Does it mean I'm done rooting for Fisch to succeed? Of course not. But let's not gloss over stupidity and scapegoating when it's costly.
He had a bad week and I suspect this wasn't his first screw up.
If he was an 1st time HC who had just lost to a FCS opponent I'd say fire him on the 50.
Can I be the person though to point out that the speed option might have at least spared us from taking a 1 or 3 point lead and then letting the Coug drive down the field on penalties and pissing down our leg because of Coug Kaepernick?
The result of one play created an entire football program. Obviously it was the most impactful, but it wasn’t that retarded strictly from a play calling standpoint.
The play last weekend had zero chance of working even if execution was way better. You’d make fun of your buddy for years if he ran that play against you in a video game. Taking a knee or kicking a field goal are the only two plays in the playbook that would have made less sense.

For better or worse one of the most endearing aspects of Hardcore Husky is the sky is falling, apocalyptical vibes. And this why taking a beach walk for perspective is one of our best mantras.
There's other plays in context of the game that are probably in the conversation but for simple what play you actually called in that level of situation it's just so confounding. The Browning speed option against Auburn's nasty defensive front wasn't much better and was another play where from the snap everyone in the room I was in screamed NO!

Damn you for making watch some of that game. A handful of plays before that Huard has Coleman for a wide open touchdown and airmails it then a couple plays after that he scrambles for a first down and has one guy that if he can juke he scores and he runs out of bounds when they have plenty of time left.
