What I'm hearing from Jood's twitters is that Christe has been taking snaps at Center.. Tanigawa sucks at snapping the ball, but maybe it was just the elevation in Tuscon that was causing some problems. Does Tanigawa move to RG to replace future top 5 draft pick Atoe? Either way it will be interesting. Tick.. tick.. tick..

Now I'm confused about what's going on with Charles and Riva. Didn't Charles play a little @ Arizona or am I thinking of someone else? I'm pretty sure I saw Riva suited up last week so thought he might work his way back for this week.

It might be time to give up on Riva. He's played only a handful of snaps all season. We have heard he is practicing, but he may not be any good or really rusty because of lingering effects. I think I saw Charles out there rotating with Tunfunga at LG.

Charles did play some, and apparently so did Riva. Gohuskies just posted a story on Riva and they make it sound like he will be able to play more on Saturday. Apparently when he came back for the Cal game he broke a bone in his ankle on like the 3rd play of the game or some shit. Tuff luck.
 
Let Riva go. Give the reps to someone young who isn't redshirting. Let's start building this bitch.
 
They recently switched Atoe from RG to RT, replacing Shelton who was replacing Riva, and moved Criste in to RG.

With Criste back to C, we'll likely see Tanigawa move to RG with Atoe at RT still, unless Riva returns.

Did Riva play at all this year? If he played past week 4 then he can't get a medical redshirt. Bummer.

He was supposed to be healthy for Cal and even started the game, but then was hurt in Q1.

His first action since Cal was last week against Arizona.

He redshirted his freshman year, so no medical redshirt available to him. He would have had to miss 2 full years to get that option.
