Kim, Fatters, & ecklund have been vociferously defending Coz for years. When told that Coz is past his prime & a shitty recruiter (water is wet), we were treated to endless lectures about how kids love his old school style and that his ability to put together a patchwork line that got Keith price murdered is a feat of the gods.

"You have no idea how good Coz is! He's put guys (15 years ago) in the league! You just don't get it."

Well, as soon as Sark can cut ties, he does. He didn't retain Coz even when his replacement wasn't lined up yet. Sark knew he could do better with myriad coaches other than Dan. Same with Petersen. I think our new OL coach is pretty legit, but the vaunted Coz didn't even get a sniff.

We were right. As always. And Kim will be silent and pretend he never said a good word about Mr. Mustache.

There is an Oregon high school coach who posts from time to time on Doogman. In one rather obscure post he observed that he knew two ( I think maybe 3) recruits who did not attend UW specifically because of Cozz.

Coz is a fantastic Oline coach. He's been doing it at the major d-1 level for decades. He's worked miracles with the stiffs Sark recruited for him. He's not a recruiter though, at all. Not anywhere close!. But give the guy some respect and appreciation for what he did for Washington. Probably the best position coach on the staff. However, he doesn't fit Sark''s fraternity model. In other words, he scares the bitches away.

Great sarkasm. Coz is only a screamer, who wouldn't know how to teach pass protection if his life depended on it. Despite his ridiculous inability to teach, he managed to get the UW OL to do some basic run blocking, enough that Chris Polk and Bishop Sankey could work miracles with the little help those OLs gave them, unless against very weak DLs.
