Since were still 100(+) days from the start of fall camp, It's still not a party foul to doog it up so here goes.... The classes Pete has/is bringing in make Sark's and every other coaches since Don James look like play-dough shit.

Seeing a recruit like this, I can't help it, and allow myself to dream of finally being able to say it's not a jimmie and joe problem versus the big four of the conf. and I would take Pete over the LA twins, Helfrich and Shaw in a game of x's and o's so all the pieces are there.....

But then I come back to reality, realize we pissed off the football gods after the 2001 rose bowl, and won't believe it until I see it.

This year is simply put up or shut up time for CP. Unless this team gets hit by a outbreak of mono and/or injuries they should be in the race for the North the whole season, yet over the course of 8 days (Friday night vs. Stanford, following week in Eugene) they could be out of it October 8th.

Back to topic. God it's nice to watch a coach and his staff have a plan on recruiting and execute it.

Agree on them being shit so far.

My point was I believe Pete will be able to out-scheme most other coaches in the conf, and since our talent look to be on par with the big boys in the conf, the difference in those games can often come down to stealing a play here or there which kills or keep a drive alive.

But you are correct that we have seen none of that in his first two years as all the close games have went against the Huskies.

Someone on dawgman posted "Lars from rivals says he talked to Tuilatpu (or whatever) and he's 100% dawg."

That post has since been deleted and there's now a post from Eklund in it's place saying "I talked to Marlon. He was down in California for an event and stopped by Cal. He confirmed to mE that he is 100% dawg."

I talked to Marlon. He said that he is just passing through California and briefly stopped by Cal. He confirmed that he is 100% OKG. He also wondered why a strange man was asking a 17 year old about what he was doing and if he preferred the shower or the fridge.

KIds in my backyard. True Panther. Big talent. He will take the trips but He already bleeds purple and is a Man of his word, so nothing to worry about here.
