Washington is never losing a coach to UCLA

Fuck, just Fuck because the script and I gno what's cumming.

Fisch, despite how annoying he can be, wants to win.
When he was hired he said this team was just in the National Title, the expectations are high, and he wants to win big.
UCLA, that is not.
Florida, maybe. But he doesnt have the resumé to get hired there.
If he does get hired there, come on down Jim L Mora.
The entire equation has changed with Jed since his hire, he had no idea when he took the job his wife and kids would hate Seattle and weather. He’s become a weekend husband and dad and his ego is big enough that he can probably talk himself into believing he can turn around UCLA to make the playoffs occasionally with a influx of cash being a full share school unlike UW. His agent’s connections to Jed and UCLA likely plays a part as well and can assure their administration will financially support the football program.

And Jed will get his family back, as a D1 coach there’s not a ton of time available for the family under normal circumstances when your family is living under the same roof. With all these factors, I still believe it’s very possible he coaches his last game at UW Saturday win or lose. I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that his best prepared most focused road game in two years was @ UCLA. The game and how UW played scoring 41 points while continuing to toss the rock in 20-40 yard chunk plays when up 27-0 vs running the clock as much as possible shows he was still auditioning his offensive the entire 2nd half.
Who gives a fuck if he hasn’t shaved in two weeks, he’s a football coach/used car salesman/lawyer type and can clean up well when it’s called upon. When he’s been “on the road recruiting” shaved he could have easily met with UCLA after beating a ranked Illinois team that beat SC. All the serious talk by his agent with ties to UCLA was behind the scenes, it’s not hard to connect the dots.
If he does leave next week for LA or anywhere else I wouldn’t hate the AD and new President interviewing Mora. Would obviously prefer Coach Cigarette but that’s not happening. Hiring Mora and keeping Walter’s would be a must thus legitimately bumping up his new salary. I believe Jim’s success at UCONN and the multiple years experience would have him much better prepared for the UW job and CEO role and he would need to go out and get a real OC and play caller that would complement Walter’s D and hopefully the new OC would value the run and smash mouth football with a solid complimentary passing attack with excellent TE play and WTE.
Unless they can find a DeBoer/Cigarette type from a smaller school I take Mora/a Washington guy that would have an ouch of loyalty. Most likely prefer Mora than trusting Chun’s pick and I hope Mora and his reps proactively campaign for the job.
My apologies, I tend to ramble like Tequila without the MBA from TCU.
I'm not sure if I wasn't paying attention before but it seems you've let your writing hand get a quite expressive lately. Let's tighten up these posts a bit so my (our?) attention span can get through it as I'm already busy posting TLDRs for teqs posts

They dont hate Seattle and the weather for the thousandth time.

It was for the best interest of the girls who had moved every year for a decade before spending 3 years in the same place, and wanting to finish school there.
They had it worse than a military family in that respect

If moving back to Arizona was for the kids, why didn’t they move back before the school year last year. We are all speculating, I myself believe there were multiple reasons for their move. Obviously I could be wrong but I still believe there is a 50/50 chance he’s gone in by December especially when be beats the zeros in 4 days.

Yah I’ll work on that sorry @Canadawg @TheHB. @board
It’s a big joke between my kids and grandchildren in our family group chats on WhatsApp. Especially when I ramble sending a voice message texts. Thankfully my great grandkids haven’t entered the chat since they are toddlers.

There's even more working against UCLA.
-This isn't the Pac-10 in 1998 or even 2015. UCLA benefitted a lot from being the other option for top recruits in SoCal who wanted to stay home but didn't have a USC offer. Now those guys go to random places all across the country, and there are less of them.
-UCLA has historically been a soft program. They're not a great fit for the Big 10 and flying 2-3 time zones to play shiteater teams.
-Rebuilding right now in college football is a nightmare. Look at who the top teams are every year now - teams that were there when the sport fractured and who have never taken their foot off the gas for half a second, burned money, and hung onto their coaches (for the most part). Even schools like LSU and Florida struggle to get back up, oh and USC, who is basically way better UCLA.
I think Jedd believes he has the recipe for rebuilds in today's game. If he went to UCLA he would certainly get enough money to take Walters with him, he would take a huge portion of UW's current roster with him with Demond at the helm.
And what about UCLA's move to Sofi? We know Jedd likes to sell an NFL experience to the kids. I wouldn't be surprised if he made that a condition of employment. Who knows.
He's a calculating gypsy of a guy, I don't trust him one bit.

It’s all hypothetical, but I don’t think Demond would go to UCLA. He’s a soon to be junior and UCLA is in for a rebuild no matter who they hire. Miami, Florida State, Texas Tech, LSU, Auburn, etc. Most, if not all of them would pay big money for Demond. He would have a ton of schools after him and get paid a lot of money.

I can totally see the UCLA thing (especially for Jedd). Nice weather. LA is a cool place to live if you are very rich, despite what some Tuggers might say. A few more opportunities to smell McVay's laundry. Your family likes it. A guy who is at least ok like Jedd could easily ride out 4-5 years at worst there being mediocre but it's a joke move to take that job.
Not a bad gig for someone on their way up though.
Agree Jed and fam give off big LA vibes and there is a lot to recommend it, particularly, as you say, if you have money, and he has it.
That said, UCLA is a complete train wreck with no apparent booster or other impetus for a cultural turn-around. It's really an Olympic sport school now and I think they barely care about that anymore. No coach who has designs on an accomplished career will want to be there now. Tuff, tuff place to win.
The collapse of the Pac 12 was the worst thing to happen to them. There's also a piece out there arguing that it was also a bad move for USC and that it has and will continue to tarnish their image as a blue blood. Need to find it and link it because people here will love that read.

You guys need to read to script.
UCLA is where coaches who fail at their last stop go to try and build it back up. They have a few scrappy seasons before ultimately sucking cock.
Neuheisel. Mora. Shrimp Belly.
A coach trying to rise the corporate ladder like Jedidiah does not go to UCLA.

This sounds more like wishful thinking PGOS. I’m still skeptical on Jed being “the guy” especially if he can’t give up play calling for the betterment of the program.
Although I believe there is decent chance he leaves with an upset of Oregon to UCLA or Florida (if Kiffin takes LSU) it will suck short term because he will likely gut the program which is concerning short term. Fisch’s decision feels like a double edge sword because no way imo is here in 27/28.
Lasty … the end. 🤐🏈😅

you’re right, a coach like Jedd goes to Florida first, is fired in 2 years then ends up at UCLA. It’s the script
