Idaho’s top football prospect in the 2027 recruiting cycle is staying in the Pacific Northwest.

Titus Osterman, a 6-foot-4, 235-pound athlete from Kimberly, Idaho, announced his commitment to UW on Saturday. He’s the fourth player to publicly pledge to join the Huskies’ 2027 recruiting class, and the second in the past three days. Washington landed a commitment from wide receiver Zerek Sidney on Thursday.

Osterman is a two-way standout at Kimberly High who plays linebacker, edge rusher and tight end. He was recently visited by UW linebackers coach Brian Odom on Tuesday and will likely start his Husky career at linebacker. Osterman also held scholarship offers from Washington State and Utah State. UW was the first program to extend him an official offer, back in May 2025.

He’s a three-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite rankings, the No. 1 player in Idaho, and the No. 65 athlete and No. 823 player nationally.
As a junior in 2025, Osterman made 96 tackles including 12 for a loss and two pass deflections according to MaxPreps as he helped Kimberly reach the Idaho Class 4A state championship game, though the Bulldogs lost to Homedale High, 29-21. Osterman was also named the Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference defensive player of the year.

During his first season as a starter in 2024, Osterman made 71 tackles, five tackles for a loss, a sack, an interception, two pass deflections and forced a fumble as Kimberly made it to the Class 4A state semifinals.

On offense, Osterman has totaled 61 catches for 760 yards receiving and eight touchdowns during two seasons at tight end. He also filled in as Kimberly’s quarterback when starter MaCraye Bruning missed the first four games of the 2025 season because of injury. Osterman was 41-for-74 passing for 659 yards and seven touchdowns against three interceptions. He also rushed for 185 yards on 47 carries and scored three touchdowns while replacing Bruning.

He’s the first high-school player from Idaho to commit to Washington since the Huskies signed offensive lineman Gaard Memmelaar out of Middleton during the 2020 recruiting cycle.

Osterman’s commitment continues Odom’s preference for players with larger physical frames. The Washington linebackers coach, who arrived before the 2025 season, signed two prospects during the 2026 recruiting cycle: Oceanside, Calif., native Ezaya Tokio and Ramzak Fruean, a local recruit who played his past two seasons at Bethel High and recently earned his fourth star — becoming the 12th composite blue-chip recruit in UW’s highly touted 2026 class.
Both Tokio and Fruean are listed 6-4, and join a linebacker group that similarly boasts notable height entering the 2026 season. Sophomore Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, a former teammate of Fruean’s at Bethel, is 6-3, while redshirt freshman Donovan Robinson Jr. is 6-4. Senior Xe’ree Alexander, whose 70 tackles ranked second on the team during the 2025 campaign, is 6-2.

And following former Auburn Riverside High standout Jonathan Epperson Jr.’s decision to transfer to Portland State, Jacob Manu, a captain at Arizona under coach Jedd Fisch in 2023, and Taariq “Buddah” Al-Uqdah, a 2025 starter for UW before his season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury against Washington State, are the only linebackers listed shorter than Alexander on UW’s 2026 roster.

Is the #1 Idaho recruit equivalent to being a Washington 5-star? Washout rate for both has to be about 81%.

Here's the last 10 (actually 9).

Togiaiaaiaiai, Elliss, Loveland, and now Sadiq are in the league. Bair is a 5* WR at O, Grimes is a 3* OT at Boise, despite it saying he's a WR here.

Not a bad NFL hit rate, actually.
I was doing some research for a What If The NFL Was Regional thing and I was surprised by the amount of NFL talent from Idaho. I wouldn't be surprised if it increases over the years as more blue collar types have left the west coast for places like Idaho. Kind of what happened with Utah.

Every single photo of Jedd for the rest of his tenure at Washington should only be from that Wisconsin game, where he looks like he'd rather be anywhere else on earth.

The type of kid that brings his lunch pail to work every day? The kind of kid you'd wanting dating your daughter?
