Check out the Blackjack Apprentice channel on YouTube. He actually breaks this down. You can still get 3/2 blackjack payouts, but only at higher bet tables. The house edge if playing perfect blackjack at a 3/2 table is something like .5% without card counting, while the 6/5 blackjack payout increases the house edge to around 2%. He goes to as far as saying that card counting at a 6/5 table isn't profitable long term. As each added true count in the decks translates into only a .5% edge to the player. So in standard 3/2 blackjack, you need a true count of 2 to have an edge. But with a 6/5 table, you need a true count of 5 or more. This creates far fewer opportunities and more time burning through minimum bets until the right time comes, and even then, simple variance makes it a nightmare with such small margins. His only solution to stop the 6/5 tables is to boycott them completely. It will also only be a matter of time until they start using automatic continuous shuffling tables with 6/5 blackjack payout.
By comparison here are the typical casino house edge at the tables:
Baccarat - 1.1% if player always bets with the banker
Craps - .5% house if you strictly play the pass line and certain odds bets
Roulette - 2.7% with one zero and 5.3% with the double zero added
Video Poker - 1%
Slots - penny slots (8-12%) nickel slots (6-12%) quarter slots (5-10%) Dollar slots (2.5-6%)
6/5 blackjack is on par with roulette when it comes to odds, and must always be avoided.
