Not condoning what Briles did at all, but their football program was irrelevant before him, had two bad years since he was fired, and is now pretty good again. Most casual fans have no idea what happened under his watch and they are still setup to be a viable program moving forward. From a pure football success standpoint he had a very positive impact on their trajectory.
Top spot for worst hire should be reserved for someone who lost and ruined the program’s PR so badly that it will take years to recover. Special consideration should go to those who ruined or at least temporarily setback multiple programs.
 
Jimmy Lake never won more than 4 games in a season... something even Tyrone Willingham was able to achieve.

That's a faggy moral police list. I'm surprised they had the nerve to include Ty.

Mike Price at Alabama is a huge oversight. At first I thought that it didn’t meet time constraints, but 2002 was definitely this century.
 
I hadn't thought of Paul Wulff in years. Nice to see him immortalized for sucking.
