Trump plan would open California to offshore oil drilling

Reminds me of a small So. Cal beach city one of the very few cities that owned the actual beach. Not a revenue rich city which always had financial problems. Most are owned by the county or state. Oil company struck a contract with the city to drill from a city lot under the beach into the ocean. The project would have brought on 250 million in revenues to the city. Plus 45 million for the school district and other very attractive things. It would require a small drilling derrick for a few years which would then be removed and replaced by a pump about the size of a van and the oil would be transported out of the city. The lefty loons in the city all screamed they'd be murdered in an oil explosion. Now mind you this city was part of a south bay L.A. county oil strike way back that had over a hundred wells and two actually in this city. No one ever died. They claimed it would explode and kill them all. The city broke the contract and had to pay the oil company millions they didn't have. Such a bunch of woke leftist bullshit!

Everyone know oil wells are deadly. Once upon a time California actually drilled for oil to make some money for everyone. Even the kids.
