Here are some of the SEC's powerhouse opponents this weekend:
Western Carolina
Samford
UT Martin
East Tenn St
Abilene Christian

Abilene Christian! LOL!

imagine having a conference commissioner who encouraged this kind of scheduling because he knows how to strategically get to the prize at the end of the rainbow versus some idiot who thinks the type of people who spend ENTIRE SATURDAYs sitting on their asses watching TV, eating junk food and deflecting their wives'/kids' attention are the interested in fucking Olympic sports.

Shitty non-conference games in September are no better than shitty non-conference games in November

No better? Shitty but in late Nov it might as well be a bye.

Either it's a bye to give the team rest or it's a tune-up game. Either way, there's a reason why everyone schedules these games.

The SEC realizes the advantages of having these games late in the year, and there's no rule against in. In fact, since these schools get to schedule their OOC, we could start doing that, but then we'd be matched up against Stanford or USC in the first week or two, as they always have ND in the middle/end of the conference rotation.

Disagree. Those games in November are worse. I’m not a SEC hater because I recognize that the south has the best football players, or at least the most good football players, but their scheduling is bullshit.

4 OOC games. Some teams don’t even schedule one semi tough game.

look at the number of mid-major teams in the top 25 because they have good records in shitty conferences... there is literally no incentive to having a tuff schedule - just get the wins. Pac12 hamstrings itself every year by trying to be the noble dooright conf.
