So the retailers who already spent cash money on shit like Russian vodka can't sell their inventory by order of various state governors.

This helps the small business owner in the US how? The guy who emigrated to the US (legally) and now owns a Russian grocery store serving his fellow immigrants.

Maybe just not buy any ADDITIONAL shit from Russia.

Yep it’s virtue signaling. It’s inventory and cash flow once it’s on the shelf. If the state wants it gone, then they need to buy it all up at MSRP and then destroy it. Russia makes no money on consumer sell-thru.
