So it turns out that OSU is not really that good. This means UW has a very good shot at winning that game. I bet all you Sark haters weren't anticipating that. #letitplayout, #5moreyears

Looking at poor performances by future Husky opponents for hope is....... well, only for doogs. Like it or not, UW vs. OSU is a rivalry game probably even more so that Huskies vs. ducks since we've pulled our football program down to at or below Beav level. The Beavs will be thinking about that slobber-knocking they received from Wilcox's defense last year at the Clink and should be ready to deliver payback in the burrito bowl. And then there's Sark's obvious lack of preparedness for road games. When was the last time Huskies competed well in Corvallis?

Sorry to always be negative, but there are consequences to playing 12-game seasons and not really improving from the first game to the last. The Huskies I watched romp over CAL in their seventh game of the 2013 season were not noticeably better if even as good as the outfit that started the season with a solid win over Boise State. In his fifth season as UW head coach, this appears to be a locked-in characteristic of Sark's program and are obviously accountable for the habitual mid-season three-game losing streaks . If UW beats OSU, it will be because the Huskies on that day (or night) are the better team, not because the Beavs just lost at home to the Trojans.

I maybe Ancient Dooging here but I think Don Jame's defenses would cock punch any of the current PAC 12 offenses.

Disagree about Oregon, with the possible but unlikely exceptions of the 84, 90 and 91 defenses. Agree about the rest.

You're probably right but I think the Stan Emperternan defenses as you mentioned would have stymied them. The 84 defense was ridiculous as well.

It's a stupid fantasy but I would give my left nut and Svens $20 to see that 91 defense line up against this years ducks.
