The Stand (rebooted)

The Stand is one of my favorite books, read many tims. A couple weeks into the ‘vid, I found the 1994 miniseries on YouTube to watch again. It’s not great but still good enough.

CBS All Access remade it fresh for the pandemic, two eps out now. I watched the first tonight. Casting is actually pretty damned good. I don’t like the nonlinear story telling ass much tho.

Anyhow, check it out. Or don’t. I could care less.

Reading “The Stand” got me into AP American Lit. in H.S. Essay question for class entry was “most American book you have read.” [/i]

Problematic nationalism, imo. I hope the teacher was counseled.

ATBS, hope you read the extended edition.

Or at the very least lifted it one a day for exercise.

I loved the book and thought the first movie was decent. I was leery of this remake for many reasons. 5 reasons actually. But I'll give it a shot

It might suck, but Ep 1 was better than average. However, I do much prefer the '94 series telling the story linearly.

It seems like no story can be told linearly these days

The opening of a gun fight and then

18 Hours Earlier

Once it was revealed that Westworld had no timeline at all it really went downhill
