The playoff scenario that makes the most sense

Oregon/Ohio State in the Rose
Bama/Florida State in the Sugar

Ohio State's 59-0 win over Wisconsin makes up for their shitty loss to VT and fuck the XII for not picking a champion.

One thing is for sure. If the lineup is how you suggest, then the committee will have to explain how FSU and OSU leaped TCU in the rankings. That will be interesting.

TCU on their own, did what they had to do, win big against a shitty team. They are just as good as they were last week. FSU did nothing different by winning another close game. OSU brought the plunger with no lube to the title game.

I could see FSU dropping to 5 and OSU moving to 4 based on this week's outcome. But for TCU to drop 2 spots would be quite controversial. Maybe they'll even cite OSU's win over SEC East Champ Indiana as one of the factors.

This really does make the most sense, but it has to be glaringly obvious that the field needs to expand to at least 8.

whatever happens today it will be great to read the fake outrage that comes with it

Fuck 8 teams.

Edit ... there is an 8 team playoff, you watched the quarterfinals last night.

The faux outrage was a bowl system plus 1.

Now We have that and the faux outrage is 8 teams.

We'll get that and Notre Dame will be 9th and demand the field get moved to 16.

Why don't we all agree this is a money grab ... and there is no workable solution.

Fuck I miss the Rose Bowl Big 10 v. Pac 10

It will eventually expand to 8 or 16. The only question left will be how many "bowl games" get the privilege of being included in the playoff to keep up the illusion of tradition.

I'd rather go back to the way it was but since that's not happening, I'd say either go to 4 major conferences and tell ND to join one or fuck off or expand to 8 conferences (tell ND to join one or fuck off) and make it an 8-team playoff of conference champs. If you can't win your own conference, fuck odd. First round of playoffs would be the old bowl alignments (yes, I know some bowls had at-large picks).

My system is perfect.

there won't be much fake about it.

Disagree. The media will be up in arms over this as it'll give something to talk about for the next couple of news cycles, during lead ups to the playoffs and the bowl games for the teams left out. Fast forward to 2015 season and they get to rehash it all over again.

Fans of those respective schools will be truly outraged and probably some Doogs and their like across the college football landscape.

okay well I was referring specifically to the fans of one-loss teams.
