The legacy of Jake Browning

They just really wanted to show their state pride on that particular day. It had nothing to do with a #6 ranked Washington coming to tracktown after they just lost to Colorado at home.
 
Browning's legacy has actually been strengthened since he left Seattle.
  1. Eason being extremely mid helped show Browning was better than we thought
  2. Him making a career as a backup and looking good when filling in for Burrow a couple years ago
  3. Going back to #1 it's pretty clear Biderman's offense was shit for QBs unless they were at Boise where they were way more talented than everyone they played across the board and then had to get up for 1-2 games a year

Eason starting 4 years under Petersen is better than Browning rather easily

The fact that Eason sucked means Browning was really good now? I mainly remember him throwing teammates under the bus, taking 15-30 yard sacks, throwing humiliating interceptions, and being really good at mid-range passes to above average wide receivers. He was also tremendously aided by a guy named Myles Gaskin

I think there's arguments against that as time goes on. Eason could barely make it as a practice squad guy for a few years and Browning has proven to be a top backup, played well and won games in the NFL as a starter, and could probably be the starter for some of the hopeless NFL teams we see every year.
Browning was also significantly more mobile. Eason's complete immobility is just something that's really hard to work with for a while now.
 
Let’s not forget Petersen’s offense went to shit near the end of his career at Boise. Browning and Smith got much of the heat when Pete had his bad fingerprints all over the offensive staff/game plan.
Browning was a douchy though especially on the sideline.
