Carnation Condensed Milk was a Kent company that invented Friskies dog food. After Purina ran them over they added cat food.

In 1982 they came up with Fancy Feast as a high end cat food to compete with Morris and Nine Lives

Nestle bought them for 3 billion in 1985. Also bought Purina

History Channel food series is actually pretty interesting

I was watching the history channel the other day and they were running Fancy Feast spots every 15 mins or so. I pee my pants every time that ad comes on.

It makes a good Pate as well... a friend of mine's mom was at a party of obnoxious high brows and when they ran out of Pate, she quietly opened a can of Fancy Feast, served it and savored the acclaim from the guests
