The current political reality

Boomers have beyond fucked Gen Z especially around COVID. I remember early on in COVID my boomer mother telling me that it was the young people’s job to save the older people and submit to lockdowns. That seemed backwards in the moment. The huge spending packages and 0% interest rates inflated boomers assets while leaving the bill to Gen Z and millennials through debt and inflation.
Im not a redistribution of wealth person like H, but there does need to be some kind of reckoning to at least fix the outright Covid theft back to some baseline. Republicans are fucked long term unless they can get the serfs off the land. Blowing up H1B’s would’ve a great first step.
 
Retired boomers including my mother were happy to shut down the economy to stop the spread. They benefited massively financially taking on none of the financial risk.
 
I'm not sure how she benefited massively but I agree that retired Americans didn't suffer economically. That was small business owners and their employees and young school age children. Because the left really cares.

The Throbber is a Boomer begrudgingly. Missed the Gen X cutoff by 1 year. Have always been marginally pissed at the older brothers in the baby boomer generation who had free love, sweet muscle cars and were first in line for the riches of post war economy.

They traded their protest and distrust of the government for gratification. It could have been the Greater than the Greatest Generation.

I would sure like to figure out how to get rich off of Covid. It didn't happen for me. The boomers in my life all wanted to get back to work and their normal lives. If your mother said those things that is on her. Equating her thoughts to all boomers is kind of silly.
The democrat party to this day is still trying to make billions off of Covid. They shut down the government in part because they wanted to continue with ridiculous covid era spending. The dem party was siphoning billions upon billions in made up covid tax dollars and many got rich for doing nothing. To this day the non-boomer wing of the rat party is complaining about lack of covid era spending. Just listen to the aoc's of the world.
 
I’ll be more specific, the retired boomers that wanted the economy shut down so they would be protected. All their properties went up a ton and so did their brokerage accounts, and that was because of the free money that got injected into the economy and went to assets.
 
Boomer near the end of the boomers. We didn't want to close shit here in America (as it used to be). Don't forget how many boomers they murdered with the ventilators, poison, nursing home genocide etc. We don't get choices of when we are born or when we die.
