Couple of quick thoughts:
1) Preseason game #3 is supposed to be the dress rehearsal ... we played like it today. Relatively complete game with improved execution. A few wrinkles added into the offense to make Stanford have to start thinking about things.
2) What SHOULD start the process of shutting up the Petersen critics (because being highly critical of a coach that is 95-12 is what I like to do) resulted in me getting comments back that talked about us just simply "doing what we were supposed to do" while also being critical of the defense for allowing an opening drive score and deep passes. I also saw on Twitter idiots like Softy sitting there talking shit about how many fans in the 2nd half decided to go do something else (which makes sense given that we brought the plunger out today) ...
3) While being very happy with today's performance and confident about our ability to beat Stanford, Seven did a great job of putting the cherry on top of the day by being exactly who we thought he was (hi Dennis Green) ... what a fucking pathetic performance by the Trojans ... I'm thinking they need to feel better about themselves this week with another on-site by In and Out Burger. I'm also enjoying hearing analysts talk about how the Trojans lacked the "want to" to tackle and questioning their heart, character, and execution. Sounds like a Seven coached team to me.
